I pop into a local shop yesterday for bread, milk, and a few other bits. It’s
fairly cold, so I’m in my outdoor coat, hat, and gloves, and look nothing like
the sales staff.
I’m standing in the aisle, scanning for bread sauce, when I hear a loud,
exaggerated throat-clearing behind me. Then an impatient voice speaks up:
Customer: “Excuse me…”
Oh no, it’s THAT type of customer, and from the sound of it, I’m pretty sure
it’s one I’ve encountered before. I already know that saying “I don’t work
here” won’t work on this type, so an idea pops into my head. Time for a little
experiment…"
