"I have to admit that I don’t see farm owners as farmers. I have been aware of
how many farms have been taken over for industrial farming, and how small
farmers have been left to struggle. I think of farm workers as farmers.
Sometimes they both work the land or care for the animals on it, as well as
owning land and assets. But if they are just bean counters and managers, I find
I don’t think of them as farmers.
