"By either the end of Friday or Monday, Australia will have surpassed 100,000
small battery systems installed and registered since 1 July when batteries
became eligible for the STC rebate under the Small Scale Renewable Energy
Scheme.

The capacity of household batteries registered in the 17 weeks since July 1 is
just under 2,000 megawatt-hours (MWh). To put this into perspective it is
enough capacity to cover the average daily electricity consumption of almost
400,000 households and is 15 times the size of the original South Australian
Hornsdale Big Battery."
